Does anyone know if I can put aluminum pans into a stainless steel chafing dish ? I’m going to have extra pans of food on stand-by & I don’t want to have to worry about transferring the food from pan to pan especially for baked dishes

You can do that with no problem.

You may lose a little bit of heat with the double-layer of stainless steel & aluminum tray - but it should be a problem!

You can also get chafing dish set ups where you can easily switch aluminum food trays in & out like this:

We actually have some of those at my mothers house I was just thinking stainless steel would be more visually appealing for a wedding
