No. I had mine at 1pm. Some people do morning weddings. You don’t have to do an evening wedding.

Now, if you’re planning to end at a certain time it might be an uncomfortably long party, or you might need to move the meal a little earlier than if the ceremony was later. But there’s not a blanket “too early” beyond super early morning.

3pm isn't too early, especially if it's on a weekend! Some people do sunrise or morning ceremonies. A 3pm ceremony during a weekday might cause some guests to not attend due to work obligations, but I don't think it's too early in either case.

I would say if your guests are local, absolutely not. However as someone who works in the hotel industry, it is absolutely agonizing to juggle Saturday morning calls for early check ins. Earlier than 4pm with lots of out of towners, sometimes equals disgruntled guests (since most people are too stubborn/frugal) to come the night before). Just food for thought.

Not at all, I think it's a balanced time so it's not too early or too late. My wedding started at 3 and ended at 8, which gave everyone most of the day to get ready, have dinner at 6 and leave early enough to spend the rest of their evenings unwinding.
