Ceremony

I wore my engagement ring on my right hand during the ceremony and then moved it over to my left hand after the ceremony and before pictures.

I'm not sure what the "rule" is but I plan to do so

I totally forgot about it and had my engagement ring on my left ring finger. I just quickly moved it during the ceremony right before the ring exchange.

I plan on wearing mine

I forgot to take mine off until me and my dad were waiting to walk down the isle. He put it in his pocket. I don’t know where I would have put it, in my purse?

I’m going to move mine to my right hand for the ceremony and move it back over after ceremony.

I’m thinking of just having both my engagement ring and wedding band in the same box and FH can put them both onto my hand at the same time during the ceremony. My right ring finger is significantly bigger than my left, so I wouldn’t be able to wear it on the other hand. I’ve seen some brides just keep the engagement ring on, have the wedding band placed on top of it, and then switch it after the ceremony, but I like the symbolism of having the wedding band be put on first so I’m thinking this might be the easiest option

I think I'm either going to keep it in my wedding band box or just wear it on my right finger.

View Quoted Comment Lol same! I don't know why my fingers are so assymetrical haha! I think i will slip mine on my pinky before the ceremony and switch it over to stack them afterwards. I like your idea of having them in the box together, too!

I did. When it was time to put on my wedding band, I just took the engagement ring off lol. My husband put my wedding ring on, and then I put the engagement ring back on top. Pretty simple 🤷🏻‍♀️ A lot of people will wear their engagement rings on their right hand which is probably ideal, but my knuckle on my right hand is much bigger than my left I guess, because my rings don’t fit on my right hand at all

My engagement ring will be my wedding ring, so it's a no for me. But you can if you want. Or don't. Up to you!

I did! Mine came as a set with the engagement ring, so would look silly on its own.

I will have them both put on during the ceremony so I don't have to worry about it.
