Ceremony

Kristen, on July 24, 2019 at 10:55 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 2 17
Hey loves! I’m having trouble thinking of any songs for the ceremony.

Im needing one for when the grandparents walk down. When my mom walks done and the wedding party! If you have any tips that would be helpful!

What song did you walk down to, to see you man?

    For my ceremony, I used:

Walking in of the grandparents / parents: "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong

Wedding Party Procession: "Can't Help Falling in Love with You" by Elvis Presley

Bride Procession: "At Last" by Etta James

We're using a piano cover of "When We Were Young" for the parents and bridal party. I'll be walking down the aisle to "Clair de Lune".

For his procession: Robin Hood theme

For mine: Instrumental version of Paradise by Coldplay

Our recession: Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder

Those were the only ones we needed as we don't have a bridal party or parents being escorted.

For the processional, all of us are walking down to "Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini." Not sure about the recessional yet. A teacher I used to work with had "This Will Be (an Everlasting Love)" for her recessional.

For our ceremony we are playing "I Get To Love You" by Ruelle to settle our guests since we won't have attendants to walk before us and both our dads have issues walking so we will not be drawing attention to them. I'll be walking down to "I Can't Help Falling In Love" by Ingrid Michaelson, and we will recess to "Mr Blue Sky" by Electric Light Orchestra. She still needs to pick her procession song but we're really happy with our picks so far. We're not playing music during the ceremony since we're getting married on the beach and don't want more noise to distract from our words.

We are trying to figure out songs too! So far we have:

Wait period - Cello Song by The Piano Guys

Him entering - Skyrim theme song or Zelda theme song

Me entering - Starry Destination by Fox Amoore (no clue who this is, it was a random pop up on Google play and it made my FH cry)

Recessional - Don't Stop Believing by Journey (suggested by my 12 year old stepdaughter)

I am trying to figure out if our parents and grandparents and bridal party need something to walk in to, or if the first song is enough.

    This is hard!!

Disney songs are always a great place to look. Then older songs, crooner music and some of the classics can be great. But don’t be afraid to branch out and use some of your favorites even if they don’t seem like “wedding songs”. Choose what fits you and your fiancé’s personality.

Family & wedding party will walk down the aisle to Canon D (or some other classical piece, not sure) and then my cousin is playing I Get To Love You by Ruelle on the piano for me to walk down the aisle to! We haven't decided on the recessional yet!

I think I figured it out!

For my mom and my grandparents I think I’m going to do Forever and ever amen by Randy Travis.

For my my wedding party Is a tie between humble and kind by Tim McGraw or I cross my heart by George Strait.

For my walking down to get to my man I think I’m going to do Haley Reinharts version of Can’t help Falling in love. Elvis Presley’s version really didn’t hit me like Haleys did! But I still liked his!

And then for walking out we are doing Livin on Love by my favorite artist Alan Jackson!

Thank you all for your input on this! It really helped. I will listen to it for days and see if it still hits the spot!
