Ceremony times

Vladimir, on May 19, 2021 at 10:47 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 2 13

Good afternoon, we are trying to see when the best time to have the ceremony if we dont have to change locations, and also want to think of natural lighting for photos

My plan so far is for the ceremony to start at 4:30-5:00 I’m having the ceremony and reception at the same place and 5-6 cocktail hour while we get family portraits. Are you having a first look?

Oh we haven’t discuss that yet but i think so given she wants to take pictures before hand. Your time line sounds very similar to what we want

Depends on the time of year and your location, and honestly what day of the week your wedding is. If your wedding is on a sunday you don't necessarily want to start too late

You'll probably want to sneak away from your reception for pictures during "Golden Hour" which is around sunset.

You probably want to start your ceremony late afternoon or early evening, so that timeline Favoila provided would work

As AJ said, the best time to plan around would be sunset time. Our wedding at the beginning of June is in New England and sunset will be at around 8 o’clock, so we planned dinner to be over before that/at that time. But keep in mind they will serve you first, so you may have to leave before everyone else is done eating to get those golden hour shots in

Nearly every wedding we have attended started at 3:30 with a 4:30 reception starting time and no issues with lighting or pictures, etc. We’re aiming at a similar timeline while partying as long as we can at the same venue (no curfew was a requirement for us).

We are doing noon for high sun and early light. It makes for pretty pictures in a country setting venue. It depends on your venue and what kind of photo you're going for. Night time photos are great for an indoor scene so the lighting can really shine, and sunset photos are beautiful for a beachy vibe.

We have our venue from 4-10pm. Our ceremony will be indoors but we still needed time to set up, get ready, and take pictures. We decided to have our ceremony start at 6pm.
