ceremony song length

The song I would like to use for the ceremony entrance (a cover of 'can't help falling in love with you') is about 3 minutes in length. Is that typically enough time for the wedding party and myself to walk down the aisle? Or do most people have 2 songs picked out?

Depending on the size of your bridal party, that's probably fine.

All the groomsmen will walk out together (with the groom last), then I have 8 bridesmaids and 2 ring bearers, then me.

I used that song for my 4 bridesmaids and 2 flower girls to walk down the aisle and it was plenty long. It was a longer than average walk too.

Your DJ or musician(s) can fade out the music if it lasts much longer than the processional or loop it if it is too short.

How long is your aisle? Can you practice walking that far and time it?

Thanks everyone! I'll just talk to the DJ about looping it if it too short or fading out if its too long.

I love that song; it always makes me cry!

Depending on the length of your aisle....but that's not a lot of time for eight people AND you.

If your DJ is good, yes, he can loop it or fade it (operative word? "if"...). I've had DJ's botch ceremony music in ways I could never imagine.

When I've seen this used, usually, it's only for the bride. I think you could do it either way, but maybe there is something else you could use just for you?
