Ceremony Seating

Dahnika, on July 26, 2017 at 2:06 PM Posted in Planning 0 10

Hello all! I'm trying to plan a ceremony seating layout. We have 275 guests, and the ceremony is outside on a grassy lawn area. We have to decide how we want the chairs arranged, number of rows chairs per row. Any suggestions? Thanks!

23 rows of six seats on each side of the aisle

18 rows of eight seats on each side of the aisle

    Just do math

I saw a cool pic on Pinterest (try them) where you guys are in the center and all the chairs are circled around you besides a space to walk down. different and spacious without people being super far in the back

Yeah I've seen the circle layouts before "surrounded by love", for larger weddings, i guess it would just depend if there is space for that.

Yes, thank you. I'm able to do the math, just wanted to get people's opinions on number of rows to ensure that people can see clearly. We don't have any kind of incline, so 23 rows seems excessive. Thanks for the tips for the circle layout!

I think the circle layout would be wonderful!! I recently went to an outdoor wedding, I was so far back from the altar I almost didn't even feel like I was apart of the wedding.

Circles are tough because you and/or your officiant and /or bridal party are going to have their backs to your audience....

    Half circles work...

The other concern is hearing. Are you having sound for your officiant?

If you have a wide enough space, make the rows as wide as you can to cut down on the length, if that makes any sense....
