Ceremony script

Fry, on August 3, 2023 at 7:19 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 1 7
Hello- my fiancé and I are trying to look at timing of the ceremony and how it should go. Are there any templates that are good for non religious people like us?

If you are using an officiant, they should have a good stock of non-religious scripts (outs did) ut here is a good link for some samples.

I agree that you should definitely check with your officiant if you’re using one. They are a wealth of knowledge!

I agree with the others - your officiant should have lots of scripts they can provide to you as a template. Then you'll work together with them to create something unique and specifically tailored to you.

Hello! We had a non-secular ceremony, too, and our officiant had seven or eight different possible scripts for each type of wedding ceremony. They were all fully customizable, too.

Have you spoken to your officiant yet about any scripts they already have? If they are a licensed professional, they probably have a binder with elements that you can piece together. If you are in a state that allows anyone to officiate, that makes it more difficult because you have to find everything from scratch and the friend has likely never done a wedding before.

A good place to start is browse Google for “secular/non religious ceremonies”. A few ideas as a starting point:

I agree with the other ladies. Check with your officiant. He or she have a variety of scripts for you to choose from. I sent my officiant a rough draft of the ceremony and we talked about it. She also asked me questions about the script and what she had done in the past for officiating a wedding. There is always adjustments as to how you want the ceremony to be performed.
