So the songs we're using for our processional and recessional songs and when I walk down the aisle will all be instrumentals only. Would it be weird at all to play songs with lyrics for the prelude while everyone is getting seated and them switch to no lyrics when the ceremony starts?

I doubt anyone will notice. We did the opposite: instrumental for prelude and lyrics for processional & recessional.

Nope, not at all. We’re actually playing music beforehand without words. But once the ceremony starts it will be with words.
