Ceremony music

Tori, on April 3, 2020 at 2:17 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 19
I’m wondering what everyone is doing for the processional music vs when parents and bridal party to when I walk down. I wanted to do Can’t Help Falling in Love sung by Kina Grannis, but I’m not sure if I want to everyone to have the same music and I walk out at the end or should it start with my entrance? I mean my bridal party is small. One song would work. I’m not sure what pairs well either. Are you going to have separate songs or have the music continue?

If you want to do different songs, it could totally work!

Mine was pretty eclectic, but transitioned well since we only used the instrumentals and had a live electric violinist playing along with it. She created arrangements for it so that all three songs flowed together nicely.
My husband with his parents and then his groomsmen walked down to 311’s “Amber”.
My bridesmaids and flower girls walked down to *NSYNC’s “This I Promise You.
I walked down with my parents to Kanye West’s “All of the Lights”.

My wife and our bridal party walked to an acoustic version of Prayed For You by Matt Stell and I walked to an instrumental version of Can't Help Falling In Love by The Piano Guys. It was important to me that I got to walk to the dramatic entrance of my own song.

We’ll probably do one song for everyone, but I haven’t decided on the song yet.

Your dj or band could blend two songs so it fades out then new song beginnings as you enter to walk

I'm doing one song for everyone in the processional and then a different song for me when I walk down the aisle with my parents. I have a small bridal party and we are having a string duo play our ceremony so it doesn't make sense to have them play really small parts of 2 different songs. Right now we're considering songs like Make You Feel My Love or The Only Exception as the processional song. Can't Help Falling in Love is beautiful! Either way good choice!

No bridal party for us, but we'll be doing Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring by Bach.

You could do two separate songs, or if you really just like the one you could time it so you walk out at a specific point in the song like the chorus.

We are doing 2 separate songs, we are doing an instrumental version of Beauty and the Beast for the bridal party and then I will walk down to my own song, I’ve been between doing an instrumental of I Can’t Help Falling in Love and Perfect by Ed Sheeran. But all of mine is going to be instrumental and the DJ will make it flow into each other.

We don’t have a bridal party / groomsmen, so it’ll be a walk down of our grandparents, followed by my FH w/ his parents and then myself w/ my parents. All enough for one song, we’ve chosen “Here Comes the Sun” by The Beatles but with a steel drum (beach wedding).

I started working on songs for the reception but not the actual ceremony. COVID-19 has me in the dump. I need to plan anyways and have faith this will be over soon.

We are doing different songs. The bridal party is walking in to the Jurassic Park Theme song by the piano guys, and I am walking in to Zelda's Lullaby from my favorite video game, The Legend of Zelda.

I am making lon lon milk candles for the tables, my necklace is a heart container from skyward sword. I can't think of anything else, but we have a lot of nerdy things in our wedding. Lots of stuff from the princess bride as well!
