Ceremony music - live musician or playlist?

Jasmine, on August 29, 2019 at 2:52 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 5

My wedding is less than a month away, and I'm wrestling whether I should have a live musician or playlist? Live musician is pretty pricey and I want to keep it budget-friendly, but for playlist I may need a helper for that.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Live musicians are very pricey, especially for the time you have them. They may also already be booked if your wedding is next month. I vote playlist if you have someone that can help you with it!

I also vote playlist. Live music gets really expensive really quickly!

I would say playlist unless you can afford someone REALLY good to play at your wedding. Especially if there's dancing. If there's no dancing, then a single musician would be totally appropriate and whatever you prefer.

I’m having a playlist for when guests are being seated, but i have a family friend with an amazing voice who is only charging us $120 to sing two songs during the ceremony. I also found another local singer who is going to sing two more songs during the ceremony, for only $115. Do you know someone who can sing, or look around locally like i did, you’d be surprised who you can find for a good price!
