Ceremony Exit & Reception Exit

alysmw, on January 24, 2019 at 12:38 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

Did you do a special ceremony exit AND reception exit? I've imagined doing flower petals exiting the ceremony but also a sparkler send off exiting the reception at the end of the night. Is this too much? Both make for amazing photos... what did you do?

From my understanding, the recession is the ceremony exit where bride & groom followed by bridal party walk back down the aisle to a song. However, it is your wedding and if you want guests to throw flowers then by all means have guests throw flowers, lol. I also like the idea of a sparkler reception exit, this is what me and my FH plan to do. Is your ceremony and reception in different places? If so, then I could definitely see both working.

Just keep in mind not everyone stays until the end of the reception!

I don't think it's too much at all! It's your day. I haven't had my wedding yet but my cousin did the sparkler exit for her reception and it was absolutely beautiful. So I say go for it!

Sounds fun! I also picture church weddings to have bubbles, rise, flowers, etc when the couple comes out! You just have to be sure both locations allow you to do this. Many venues now say no to all of these things in contract cuz it's a mess they have to clean up and sparklers are a "fire hazard".
