Ceremony exit photo? How?!

Mariah, on September 4, 2019 at 3:34 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 9
This may be a silly question- but if the bride and groom leave the ceremony first, how do you get all those great photos of bubbles or seeds being tossed?

Im sure your guests will be aware that you are ready to walk down the aisle as a married couple and would know that’s the time to pull out the bubbles/seeds. Then your photographer would take the pictures? Maybe you can put a sign next to the bubbles that lets everyone know what they are for?

I've seen those pics with the couple leaving the ceremony spot, not walking down the aisle. So you walk down the aisle then ur guests go outside and then u walk outside to leave the ceremony venue...? And probably 2 photographers.

The DJ or DoC just announces the wedding couple is leaving and the photographer escourts everyone outside for the photo. DoC will hand out the sparklers, ect.

They wait around and then the photographer or coordinator tells everyone to get their bubbles and go line up and then they run through. Unless they do it right at the end of the ceremony and hold their bubbles through the ceremony and then the officiant directs them. Either way it’s sort of staged just like a reception exit.

    Hey Mariah!

These photographs are typically staged by your photographer. Is this a photo that you want to capture? I would definitely add it to the list of photos that you want and discuss it with your photographer.

We exited the ceremony room, and moved to a separate room. Our bridal party & Officiant helped usher the guests outside. Our photographer took a few "just married" photos inside of just us while the guests relocated. Then we did the exit.

It was really nice to have that couple of minutes of just me & him (and photographer) so it worked well!

Those are staged pictures. If you’re going to do that, have a plan in place beforehand so your guests aren’t waiting around. Your photographer and/or day of coordinator has probably done them before and should be able to tell you how to make it happen as smoothly as possible. Just make sure wherever you’re doing the pictures is ok with bird seed and that your gown won’t show marks from the bubbles. We’re probably going to get ribbon wands since bird seed, sparklers and flower petals are banned (getting married on a beach), and I don’t care for bubbles.
