The Emperor's March from Star Wars. Our wedding is non-traditional to say the least, so we are having fun with it.

For your entrance a slower song is probably better, and if A Thousand Years is speaking to you, go with it! There's nothing wrong with using a common or popular song if it's meaningful to you. With a couple years to go til your wedding you may find a new favorite before then, though!

Every wedding I've been to this year has incorpoated 1000 years somehow. Obviously if t has meaning to you use it but it has meaning to A LOTTT of people right now apparently

I really want to walk to Today by Brad Paisley, but FH isn't as moved by it as I am, so I'm still not sure. But regardless it's a great song.

My bridal party will be walking to the instrumental "I See The Light" from Tangled... Disney wedding and a meaningful song for FH and I. I will be walking down to the Bridal March!

I plan to walk down to stolen by dashboard confessional or I'm so into you by Tamia. I found a harpist at this wedding expo and she's just amazing!

I plan to walk down the aisle to the Luckiest by Ben Folds. Not sure what the bridal party will walk down to, though.

I walked down the aisle to "At last" by Etna James.

We were together 16 years when we got married. It was perfect. All our guests started hooting & whistling when they heard the song. It's a wonderful memory for me.

    I don't see anything wrong with 'A Thousand Years'. There's a reason why it's very popular :-D

The song selection part of planning is going to be a challenge for us as my FH and I don't know ANY of these songs I read about, and listen to 80s rock (him) and 60's/70's classic rock (me) so I'm clueless to be honest....we don't really have a "song" per se either. The only thing I think we have figured out is the first dance to Don't Want to Miss a Thing by Aerosmith, other than that totally clueless!! Lol I'm the bride that would choose the most popular song, just because I don't really know a bunch or have a preference. That 1000 years song is looking pretty tempting! :+)

Everybody does 1000 years... including Twilight. If you want something more unique then do forever, but if you could care less then do what your gut tells you.

If your goal is to make your song something personal, then do a little research and make it actually personal.
