Ceremony Check List!

I knew I wanted my venue from the first day I went to their open house! It's gorgeous. It's in a family friendly city and it's about 30 mins away from Disneyland. Can't go wrong with that. I didn't really want anything over $5k but I was also hoping for all inclusive. I saw this place and all that...

I knew I wanted my venue from the first day I went to their open house! It's gorgeous. It's in a family friendly city and it's about 30 mins away from Disneyland. Can't go wrong with that. I didn't really want anything over $5k but I was also hoping for all inclusive. I saw this place and all that went out the window! It's literally my dream venue and has been for so long. I'm grateful that I can finally call it mine!

What was on your "must have" list in deciding on your venue? Did it have to have a view (city, beach, mountains)? Did you stick to your guns or did you end up sacrificing a couple (if not all) things on your list? What made you say "THIS IS IT!"?

    That venue has such a great feeling to it. Very upscale but more coastal elegance than formal/stiff.

    My favorite moment of planning was getting our venue. We both were emotional when we could visualize where we’d say our vows and then the decorating planning part could begin! We did DIY (some lessons learned about that) but after the chaos of set-up and during our first look, we had a few moments to look at the reception space we designed and we both were blown away. We did it. And it was so us.

    Must have was that everything could,be done inside and the ceremony and reception could be held at the same place. I'm not risking an,outdoor wedding and I didn't want to travel between sites

    That makes perfect sense. I didn't want to have to travel either. Our ceremony and reception is at the same site just outdoor/indoor. "Risking an outdoor wedding"....due to crazy weather, bugs, etc?

    I don’t think I had any ‘must haves’ other than the capacity. Our venue is all inclusive which I never knew I wanted until we booked. It’s so easy and convenient!

    I definitely agree with you on the all inclusive! That's what we had and then we got turned around and now I'm about to lose my head lol but I know it'll still all be worth it in the end.

    Yup! Weather was the big one for me. I don't like to be uncomfortable lol plus rain, bugs, dust, allergies, etc

    That's totally understandable. I never had allergies (if ever) until I moved to Las Vegas and now it's pretty bad. I'm over it. Thankfully, we're getting married in my home state, California so I don't have to worry about it during our wedding! *knock on wood*

    This is absolutely stunning! Our wedding venue was a country club. We got married outside by a pavilion on the golf course. We knew we wanted that venue when we went to a work Christmas party a few years prior. It's so beautiful inside and sits on a nice piece of property! There would be no other events going on and I loved that about it.

    My must-haves included an in-door ceremony location that could fit all of our guests and our large (11 Bridesmaids, 10 Groomsmen) wedding party, chandeliers, great views and elegant design. I really wanted a light and airy type of atmosphere.

    Our venue ticked all of the boxes! It sits on a beautiful lake and has floor to ceiling windows all around, beautiful chandeliers, the ceremony location is a veranda and has plenty of room. It's just perfect!

    When we first reached out to the venue we expected it to be way over budget, but was very nicely priced compared to other country clubs we had looked at.

    There was one venue I looked at before and it did like a price quote on the site but when I reached out to them it was like an additional $10k from what they were calculating on the site and I'm just like that's not right. That's amazing that your venue wasn't as much as you thought. Congrats on getting it. It sounds wonderful. Especially the floor to ceiling windows!

    My "must haves" was an outdoor Gatlinburg wedding, even though I didn't get that because it was cold and a chance of showers we did at least get photos outside before the rain came down. We did have a great time around the mountains while we was down there.

    Cuisine... my fiancé and most of my family are in industry and I’d be shamed if the food was something to remember and I will not be embarrassed. So my venue was selected based on everyone walking away satisfied like thank you for coming, celebrating us, you’re going to have one of the best meals you had in a very long time! And we introduced you to our place
