Wedding Stafford LakeCeremony Background 1

My fiancé and I are getting married at Stafford Lake Park in Novato, CA. This is likely going to be the ceremony site. We are struggling to decide whether or not we need additional "props" for decor. Thoughts? We have a small wedding party (one attendant each) and an officiant.

    So pretty! Smiley heart

Instead of an archway, what about two small tables with decor to define the altar? Or maybe an aisle runner?

I don’t think it’s necessary with such a beautiful setting. We got married on the beach and skipped an arch as we didn’t want anything to take away from the beauty behind us. I had a couple decorated flower buckets up at both ends of the aisle and that was it, and I think it was plenty. So if anything, keep it simple. Maybe a flower petals along the aisle or flower balls on chairs, but you certainly don’t need much , or really anything at all Smiley smile . Some flowers or plants up at the end of the aisle could work.

I don't think you need any props if you don't want them, but a lectern for the officiant might give you that "centering" feeling without taking away from all that gorgeous natural beauty!

Maybe do two Shepard's hooks with hanging flower baskets, so just there is somewhat of a defined space. But either way, that'll make for a BEAUTIFUL ceremony backdrop!

We went back today with some props. We have decided on this stool and these crates with pitchers of flowers on them (the basket is just a placeholder). Bonus picture of our table set up (minus white tablecloths)!

I think it is pretty like it is but here are a few options that might work if you want to add a little something else. For my cousins wedding, I had a ton of extra christmas balls that we spray painted her wedding colors and tied ribbon in different lengths to and tied to trees for her reception. The photos aren't back yet but here are some google images to give you an idea of what it looked like. You can also use lanterns. The last image is what I showed her as inspo!
