Centerpieces cost?

Geralyn, on October 19, 2016 at 1:42 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

So I had this vision how I wanted centerpieces and my fiancé and I went to the craft store and bought supplies and I got to check out and my total was 240 for 12 centerpieces worth of stuff. So $20 per thing and I wanna ad to it a bit so say $30 to round up. They're vases I put stuff on so I'll put flowers in it. 5 will be brides maid bouquets and others will either be like fake trees or real flowers from florist. Our budget isn't crazy high but not low either. I have that buyers remorse like I spent too much. I used a lot of the stuff already so can't really return a lot of it now. How much did you guys spend on centerpieces with and without flowers??

I've been collecting vases. No more than $2 each. I'll have about 13 tables with 4 vases on each. So I'm at about $8 a table for just the vases. I'll be buying my flowers wholesale so not too sure on pricing yet.

Agree with Alysschu, that was a rambling mess.

Our centerpieces with flowers are $205.

Ah - think about reuse value too! I made all my centerpieces, and my BMs have already expressed interest in taking some home for decor and I'll keep at least 2 myself. The rest of them can be easily disassembled, the mason jars reused, and the silk flowers sold at a yard sale.

I bought lanterns at Ikea for $8 each and need to buy flameless candles for them. For what the florist is doing to surround it is $95 each and we'll have 20 of them. So your pricing sounds great to me!

    Sucks but... oh well.

The thing about resale value is that you may not always be able to resell it.

@soon2bruffo I bought the vases for $1 each at walmart. The tall vase I hot glued 2 $1 vases together then wrapped the bling ribbon around it.. the medium vase I wrapped floral Styrofoam in ribbon and bling then sat the $1 vase on top of it with the ribbon covering the seams. Smiley smile I definitely did not want to spend 20 bucks on a tall vase!

    My plan is:

    burgundy runners 2.67 each (smartyhadaparty)

    Gold Charger $4 (amazing savings)

Lanternwith LED $5 (christmas Tree Shop)

Gold Painted jars (.50?) Its 4 a can of spray paint and several jars get painted..

HobbyLobby premade bouquets in our colors: 5

And I need a tall element that has yet to be determined... soo Grand Total is just under $20
