Centerpieces and floral arrangements

Tricia, on March 16, 2021 at 10:13 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 14

Has anyone thought about sourcing their own flowers for simple center pieces and decorations? I am looking to DIY much of our decorations since I have some materials and our wedding list is fairly small.

Fiftyflowers.com is the cheapest you will find and has many good reviews. More economical than silks

I've heard of a lot of brides using Kukka Flowers and they've been beautiful and very inexpensive. I do think they provide mainly bouquets, but the do offer some centerpieces as well!

If that isn't what you're looking for, you could try testing out how well you can create your own florals using local real/artificial flowers!

I'm also using FiftyFlowers.com and doing bud vase arrangements myself! Also considering 6' garlands from Costco - I believe they're $100 for 4.

I have heard of them too. Not bad pricing and a great amount of options!

Yes! A fellow DIY-er here. Our original plan was to have a florist but when my fiancé and I unexpectedly lost our jobs 3 months out from the wedding we cancelled the 1700 florals and got our deposit back. Searched a few YouTube videos until I found something simple to make yet elegant. Ordered the supplies to get an idea of how much was needed to make one. Found out that all the florals and materials, Amazon boutonnières and courage’s costs the price of the deposit we got back. So we were really excited about that. Plus I was stressing about the bees with real flowers. (Bad phobia since childhood)

Here’s how one looks. Got all my flowers and foam wreaths from Amazon. I have four made so far. I think I’ll place something in the center. It seems like it needs one more thing. I had a bunch of candles left over from Valentine’s Day a few years ago and they lasts for day so win right there!Centerpieces and floral arrangements 1

Since our wedding had to be postponed, we did a date night on our original wedding date. This is the centerpiece I created. It's not perfect, as we were the only ones to see it, so I didn't fuss with it too much. Simple but pretty and very affordable. That's one vine with silk flowers I got from Hobby Lobby, just wound around the vases. Vases and floating candles on amazon. I think I spent less than$100, and that was for 12 tables originally. Now we're downsizing to a micro wedding with about 25 guests, so I won't need all that.
There are lots of things you can do with not a lot of money. If you need ideas, go to Pinterest. Tons of ideas there.

Absolutely!! I am using hydrangeas from my mother in laws garden as flowers on wood stumps in mason jars for when we walk down the aisle. Flowers are such a huge cost. Judge me if you must lol but my wedding is in the fall. I got a mix of fake flowers from the dollar tree last fall to use in the centerpieces on the tables. I just couldn’t fathom spending and outrageous amount on flowers. I hear what people remember from a wedding is music, food, and alcohol. I have a lot of decorations myself. I’m currently at a point where I need to cut back. I highly recommend you check hobby lobby, dollar tree, or Michaels. Hobby lobby and Michaels constantly has coupons. Hope this helps ❤️

I love what you did with the vines, that is so classy and yet uncommon center piece arrangement. Thank you for the ideas!

I just started looking into Michael's online deals and I forget how awesome their coupons are. I too have some decorations and just acquired a mass amount of mason jars. I hope I can find some good fake flowers at my dollar store.
