Centerpiece with stems

Mama Ali, on August 2, 2019 at 8:25 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 6
I’ve been looking at DIY videos of flower in tall vases and they all use the foam to stick in the flowers after cutting stems off. However I am seeing on Pinterest many where the stems are showing. And many of tall flowers or greenery. Has anyone done centerpieces with the stem showing? I mean it would make so easy.

Are you doing silk or fresh centerpieces? The foam is used as a water source for fresh flowers.
If you are using silk, you can use the water orbs to stabilize the stems.
The problem is not that the stem is showing....the stems will move if you don't have some kind of support, your arrangements, will not stay in place.

I think you would need at least a section of stem to keep the flowers stable! Definitely don't cut off the whole stem

We’re using fake flowers and have the stems showing, but we have burlap ribbon wrapped about the jar and glass stones at the bottom so it doesn’t look as plain.

Here’s our centerpiece and a closer picture of the jaw with flowers. The smaller jar has fairy lights that we’ll turn on and the rock will have our initials and date
