Centerpiece size

Melissa, on September 2, 2019 at 2:59 AM Posted in Planning 0 9
I’m having such a hard time deciding how big a centerpiece should be for a 60 inch round table that will be seating 8 guest. I don’t know how big the vase should be, or how many stems for each one. I’m overthinking it .

I had 3 different size vases and greenery on my 60” round and it was perfect but I wouldn’t stress ttoo much. Mock up your centerpieces and draw a 60” circle if you don’t have access to a table that large. I’m sure they will be fine.

    Hey Melissa!

Have you thought about what style of centerpiece you would like, or have you started sourcing material for them?

I would either go for centerpieces that allow your guests to see over them or tall ones that people can see under them to the opposite side of the table.

Do you have any inspiration pictures of what you want them to look like?

I feel you! Ive always wondered how much space is in the center of a table once set so i can get a visual image for centerpiece spacing

At her 60" tables daughter had mostly either 7 or 8 guests (there was one table of 6). Each place setting had a charger plate and three glasses (wine, champagne, & water). Add in silverware, salt & pepper, bread plates, etc., and the table fills up really fast. I don't have exact dimensions, but I'd guess her centerpieces weren't more than 12" in diameter and were about 10" high (not counting the table number that stuck up). I believe the vases were about 5" square. They looked plenty big enough, but didn't result in the tables being too cluttered. I agree to either talk with your venue/vendor if they'll be setting the tables or do a mock-up to see what's reasonable.

I was going to do candles with garland but then changed it to a small to medium sized vase with candles around it. Since the tables will be placed outside on unleveled stone I don’t want to risk a y’all vase falling over. I will try to add photos of what I would like when I find them.

Thank you. I bought the vases and candles from Ikea and my florist did the greenery. It wasn’t very expensive to do.

Good idea about having shorter centerpieces to reduce the rink of them falling over!

Are you having your entire wedding outside?
