Ceiling draping

Melissa, on December 22, 2019 at 4:24 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 9
I'm getting married in an old church that has been converted into a community center. While the building has a lot of charm and I love the stain glass windows I feel like the interior needs some color and...romance? I plan on adding a floral garland on the wooden rail at front of the church but I really wanted to hang drapery to add that softness...my main problem is I dont know how many yards to order. I've found it in 110 inch width and 10 and 25 yard sections. So from going to the lowest x beam to the wall I figured 3 sections of 25 yards would be sufficient. Any help in the math department would be a huge help!Ceiling draping 1

The dimensions are 27.5 feet wide 186 inches to the lowest x beam and 125 inches from the bottom of the beam to the floorCeiling draping 4

This is such a great idea! It will look lovely! PPs post about the Pythagorean theory made me lol. I had to tell my fiancé about it since he’s a trig teacher.

Even pronouncing that word makes my head spin! 🤦‍♀️😂 since Google knows all maybe I can just plug it in and it'll do its magic lol. Thank you by the way! I'm really hoping it turns out how I plan but since I have the means to hang it I don't see much point in paying for someone else to do it! Especially since we wont be in the building for very long!

I definitely should have paid more attention in the class, thank you for the equation though! Once I figure out what goes where in the format it will definitely help me a lot!

I think 3 or 4 of the 25 yards would be fine for 1 drape. Will you be able to (Or know someone who can) sew them together?
