Most Catholic Churches will require that one or both of you be a member of the parish “in good standing” (that can mean lots of things) in order to get married there. If there is a church you like in your town that you want to get married in it is worth becoming a parishioner, attending Mass, and donating in order to be considered!

I agree with A above. The Church would love bringing in new families. I would try visiting local churches first. Sometimes when I get annoyed w/my now husband, going to Sunday mass in the space we got married resets my focus. Lol. There are many styles of churches, but I would try looking for natural light, air conditioning, and a parking lot for guests. If the space is colorful, you could also decorate less and save some money. They will interview you and you can meet the priest/ officiant. If you are in California, they have old, missions along the coast. It doesn't have to be a cathedral or basilica but will still be special to you. Best wishes.
