Cathedral veil with sweep train

Kayla, on June 25, 2013 at 1:05 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8

Hello everybody! I need some help on deciding if I want to wear a cathedral length veil with my dress. My wedding will be on the beach in Cancun, so I'm just trying to decide if it will be too much since our wedding is kind of casual. Or if it will add a dramatic effect to my dress. Here is my dress, let me know what you all think!

I think just the fact that it's on the beach that it would be too much with the wind... blowing it every where it would be a pain and get in the way of your pictures or your guest seeing you.

I do agree that the veil might be a little long for the beach.

Yeah I was taking the wind into consideration for sure. I have just been seeing some really neat pictures with the veil blowing in the wind and it looked beautiful. I was planning on taking the veil off for the reception.

It will be too much for a casual wedding. Cathedral veil and long trains are more for traditional weddings and formal. especially for a beach wedding. Your dress is beautiful. I would go with a shorter veil or if possible none. You could also do the veils that just attach behind under your hair. See the veils below. # 3 is the one I am talking about. I wouldn't use a cathedral for a beach wedding. anyone of the shorter veils.

I agree, that much veil will be too much for a beach wedding. It would be pretty for pictures, but I think it would get in the way to much for the ceremony

What did you end up choosing? I'm having this same dilemma but I decided to hell with it! I want to wear a long veil so I'm doing it!
