Catering or potluck?

Bad idea. Please don't do this

FYI practically every person on this site will tell you that catering is the only way to go. It's safer and all around a better experience for you and your guests.

Don't do potluck. Germs. Food poisoning. You have no idea what has been put into the food. 99% of the food will not be made and handled by people who have the qualifications to do so. You're asking for a disaster.

Also, prepare yourself for an overload of comments, self catering/potlucks are a hot topic on here. Good luck

Does someone have the link to that potluck wedding thread? Spoiler, it went terribly. Please dont do this. First, the reception is to thank your guests so they shouldn't be providing/hosting the food. Also, a potluck creates so many food safety risks and liability issues.

Do not self cater and do not have a potluck wedding, it's not safe, and to be honest it's rude as shit for your guests. Cater the event and offer free drinks and booze.

@MrsMinor14... the best thing you can do for yourself at this moment in time is pick catering and hide this post.
