Catering Options

Seriously considering to have unconventional catering. I've been looking into Noodles & Company. Anyone else going the easy route like me?

We were originally thinking Moes but decided against it for the following reasons:
-We would have to have someone pick it up or have someone designated to meet the delivery person/set everything up. In order for the food to be hot it would need to arrive after the ceremony. So this person would miss the ceremony. Or we would have to hire someone to do all the pickup and setup.
-There would be no servers or catering managers there to make sure everyone gets served the appropriate portions and no one is left hungry.
-Food Allergies. Large corporations like this cannot guarantee any items are free of allergens due to their small prep space. I want to make sure anyone coming to my event has something they can eat.

Also consider the formality of your event. If it’s a casual wedding then this would be fine. But if people are showing up in gowns/suits, they might expect a higher quality meal. You know your guests and your crowd. We personally decided against simple catering like this, but that doesn’t mean it can’t work.

If you have a Mission BBQ near you, I would check them out. A friend of mine hired them for their wedding and it was delicious! They delivered, set up, helped serve the buffet, and cleaned up afterwards.

Hey Evelyn! I think that this could be a great idea but as the pp mentioned, there is a lot of logistics to think about before making a final decision about it. Would you be hiring waitstaff to serve the food to your guests? Are you planning for more of a buffet style? If so, you will need people to prep the food into dishes for serving.

It sounds like a great idea though, if you look into it moreSmiley laugh

We're doing a food truck which is pretty unconventional and non traditional but to us it is more cost effective!
