Catering and Cake

Hi loves! We’re in the NYC area and we are getting married in Long Island. Our venue includes a cake and food, but we wish to get a cake elsewhere because we would like to try samples and such before choosing the cake. (the venue does not provide samples) They are also allowing us to use our own catering and cake if we choose. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I don't have suggestions but I just wanna note that make sure then there's no cake cutting fee or something of that sort by not using their own cake.

Not sure where exactly on Long Island you're getting married, but we got our cake from La Familia Bakery in Patchogue and it was delicious! Got three layers of different flavors of tres leches cake.
Campbell's Bakery also has a really good reputation. We did a tasting there and their cake was really good too, but they were more pricey than the place we ended up going with. But even still their costs were reasonable.

We used Butterfly Bakery in Brooklyn, and they were delicious. I don't know how far out they deliver, though.
