Has anyone dealt with a caterer that just provides food and its up to you to hire servers and everything? I haven't heard of this. Also, Instead of charging per person like most caterers, this one charges per portion. And Im not sure how much to order of each thing (75ish people). It seems like it...

Has anyone dealt with a caterer that just provides food and its up to you to hire servers and everything? I haven't heard of this. Also, Instead of charging per person like most caterers, this one charges per portion. And Im not sure how much to order of each thing (75ish people). It seems like it may be more of a pain than its worth (not to mention cost prohibitive hiring a separate wait staff) but their food is out of this world amazing and I know it would impress all the omnivore guests.

Hey Alyssa, So we are going to have platters of food for appetizers from publix that guests can pick at during the cocktail hour (like fruit, veggies, dips like spinach and hummus) etc. And then a salad bar, 2 main courses in the buffet, bread and then 2 dessert options later on.

Ummm What!? What type of catering company is that. I never heard of that before but if they dont provide all what you need I think you may need to choose another company. My caterer provides everything.
