Catered Dinner: We have to supply our own plates, silverware, etc.

Tina, on August 2, 2019 at 8:55 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 5
We are having an outdoor wedding and our reception is under a tent. The caterer that we hired (for dinner) is not providing plates, silverware, cups or napkins. We are having a destination wedding and have to bring it all.

Is that normal for caterers not to provide
plates, silverware, etc.?

Not normal at all. Extra fee maybe but to not offer it is super odd.

This really depends on the kind of caterer. Some include it, some offer it for a fee, some don’t offer it at all. Is it a standard wedding caterer or a restaurant that caters?

It just depends on the caterer. You could always rent them from a rental company or ask if your venue has them.

Mine is only offering paper plates and plastic cups and silverware, so I’m renting real plates, glasses and silverware
