I was very upset yesterday, as it occurred to me that we wouldn't get to have the traditional white wedding I'd been working on. But as it turns out, that's for the best for both of us. We're not formal, traditional or conventional. We're unique individuals with a quirky creative style. We like breaking the mould when we can, so why should our wedding be any different?
With this epiphany, I'm bidding farewell to my white wedding dress and the peacock feather adornments. I'm changing my entire outfit and changing the colour palette. We'll be more us, and somewhat make do and mend.
FH sent me some red wood roses for Valentine's this year, so those will be my bouquet.

I have a cute red top that I wore when we first met face to face, which will be my top, and I plan to pair it with a black (possibly tulle) skirt.

I collected knee high socks in my teens, so I plan to wear them. And my FH wears hi tops, so I'm planning on getting us a matching pair of those.
We'd spoken some time ago about him maybe wearing a tuxedo t-shirt, as I'd promised I wouldn't make him wear a suit. And with the white wedding out the window, he can wear it again.
