Casual attire wording

Catherine, on July 31, 2018 at 9:32 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
Ok, I know the strong opinion is not to include a dress code on the invitations. However, my mother has specifically requested we provide a dress code recommendation on our directions cards. We are having a rustic vow renewal, I will be in a dress and boots and my husband will be in jeans with a vest and blazer and boots. The ceremony is outdoors and we want to make sure everyone understands this is not a formal event. What wording could I use on the cards to express that jeans and boots are acceptable, and formal attire is not necessary?

Send really casual invitations. More of a party invitation than a wedding invitation.

Our ceremony will be outside so please feel free to dress comfortably and casually.

I like the phrase. I put on our details card what attire. Mostly because I didn't want my dads family wearing jeans Smiley xd
