I keep trying to update my previous post about an invite to my future SIL's "money tree only" bridal shower, but the post won't update for some reason.
Anyway, I was not able to get out of going without upsetting the future in laws. So I went and took $20 to put on the money tree (and resisted the urge to take $1 bills). Except.....most everyone else took cards from what I saw! So I threw my $20 under some of the envelopes.
Then after we ate, her mom told everyone to get in a circle to WATCH HER OPEN CARDS. wtfffff?! Well obviously I did not have a card so I left right then and there. I almost wish I had stayed to see how boring and awkward that was, but I didn't want to be called out on the $20. LOL!!
