Cash Bar at Reception?

The more I have read online, the more I question having a cash bar at our reception, as other posters have said alcohol is something you remember. FH and I are both underage currently, and when we get married next year, I will be 21 and FH will be 20. We are not the drinking type, so we are not...

The more I have read online, the more I question having a cash bar at our reception, as other posters have said alcohol is something you remember. FH and I are both underage currently, and when we get married next year, I will be 21 and FH will be 20. We are not the drinking type, so we are not worried about having alcohol at our reception, but of course, it will be option to those who want it at a cash bar.

Here's my question to you all: what do you think of cash bars? Do they really leave a long-lasting bad impression on reception guests?

@OP just don't let any comment be taken personally. I did that and I ended up crying and hiding my posts. Then getting trash about hiding posts haha take the criticism into account (pos and neg) and make your decisions. Smiley smile

@Tawana that is why a liquor license was invented and bartenders have to be licensed. It takes all liability off of you. Adults know to make arrangements if they will be drinking.

Lol Paige, I'm not even offended because I wouldn't get physical with someone anyway. No one is worth jail time and orange is not my color.

    Richard, you're still my favorite.

@keisha maybe that's the reason for inviting your guest, to give you gifts. I invite my friends and family to celebrate my wedding and if I choose a cash bar is because I'm not responsible to pay for my family and friends getting drunk, which I know all of them will either way. My guests actually don't mind cash bars because we all have them. At all the hosted events we have.

Maybe it's a location thing. How close is the nearest Tesla dealership to you? That'll help me understand. Lol.

I don't think it's a problem. I have known many people have a cash bar and kegs of beer!
