Cascading Bouquet Delivered to elopement site

Kristen, on November 21, 2019 at 8:59 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 16

So I am dead set on having a cascading bouquet since my friend's wedding last year where that was the first time I saw one. That may be one of my many splurges for my elopement ceremony lol. However, it is a destination elopement at a resort where we will have our honeymoon and I cannot imagine bringing it on a plane. Would it make sense to have it delivered to the resort? Do you think that would be a good idea? I am thinking artificial.

I'm sure they have a Florist on site, or near by who can make a beautiful boquet for you. Don't worry.

I agree with Anna, I think a florist near your destination would be the best idea here.

I would find someone near the resort that will do it to you.

I’m doing a DW and already booked a florist there who is making me a cascade bouquet and bringing it to the officiant. She said she could also bring it to our hotel, but because our wedding is closer to her location she would bring it to the site instead. I’m glad I don’t need to think about taking care of a bouquet on the plane!

Definitely a florist close to your venue!

If you wanted a different idea.. there are shops on Etsy that make artificial bouquets!

I'm open to using a florist there but the thing with cascading bouquets is that I have seen some for 400 or $500 and while I am willing to splurge I'm willing to splurge within reason. I was thinking going the artificial route as opposed to the fresh flowers so that was the only reason I was considering buying online. Once the future husband and I decide on a date then I'll start looking around and if there's something that's a decent priced and I'm willing to spend it but if it's going to be really expensive then I may have to look another way

A local florist may be your best bet. Wherever you’re having your wedding may provide you with flowers, or at least some direction in who to go to. If you want to make your own arrangement (you mentioned artificial) then you can always mail it to yourself at the resort. I’m having a destination wedding and will be sending myself a box of wedding things so I don’t have to pack them in my luggage.

Thank you so much. When I have done research on wedding or elopement packages at Resort they usually all include a bouquet but they're usually just a generic round bouquet where I know I want mine to be a specific color and I know I want a cascading bouquet. The thing with the elopement packages is that they often include a lot but when it comes to the bouquet as well as the photographer I think I'm going to Outsource those because usually the photographer is only for an hour and I know I'm going to want some before and after ceremony pictures so I think I would like at least 2 hours. Also I don't know who this photographer is and I don't know if they have a lot of experience because I remember reading a comment about a wedding photographer and how the person wasn't happy so I don't know if they're just someone that just works at the hotel or if they really have experience because I'm willing to splurge on my photography to have beautiful memories to look back at.

It is amazing to me how much real flowers and bouquets cost! i went with the artifical sola wood flower bouquets. If i was going to spend a decent dollar on the bouquet i wanted to be able to keep it forever. i ordered mine off etsy.

Sola wood flowers are flowers that are made of dried wood! nice alternative to silk. They are a good way to keep them looking more realistic. I would ask your venue about it, see what they say. They might not want to be responsible. Plus if you bring it at least you know where it is at all times. I have attached a picture of my bouquet Smiley smile

Thank you Smiley smile It was most definitely worth it. I spent roughly $450 for 4 bouquets with tax and shipping.

Where did you order from? I did consider just ordering and bringing with me and then I know it is safe and one less thing to worry about when I am there.
