Carpet for grass?

You may be able to find a carpet remnant that would suit your needs. Anywhere that sells carpet usually has these for cheap since they don’t really fit in any rooms due to shape or size. You could always attach some lace to the sides to make it a little fancy.

Were also doing a backyard wedding, and I had the same concern. However, his dad is planting rye grass. It grows BEAUTIFULLY in about a week, but people don't use it on a regular basis in their yards because it dies pretty easily (like with being walked on). So it is perfect if you just need it to last a few days.
