Hello Everyone! My Fh and I have Postpone our wedding, so please pay no mind to my date listed. Anyways, a co-worker of my husband just went to a wedding on Carnival Cruise, and she loved it. He asked me to researched it, and this is one of those things that you kinda have to chose one over the other. The wedding ceremony and reception will both be done at the port. Which is great. The problems I see are; the ceremony and reception is only 1 1/2 hours max. My FH loves though. It has an Open Bar, but only if you pick the hors d'oeuvres, or you can have a 4 course meal , with house wine. its says in the brochure most ports start weddings at 1pm. The guest list will be less then 50. Thoughts please and Thank You. Also, I am typing all this on my phone, so sorry if any grammer issues.

I think my concern too is that you and I know it's not part of the reception but to guests, they might not really understand that

Ashley... Loriths photos are beautiful and I'm sure she will share! Smiley smile Since you've researched it you have probably googled it too.. google images has some great ideas for posed photos after the reception. I'm stealing and printing some to give my photographer an idea of what we like

CruiseBride... if it's not a paid for restaurant and all your bookings are linked (which is sounds like that is what you mean) you will all be given an assigned dining time, dining room and table, which is written on your sign and sail card. Unless they chose to eat dinner in the buffet, lido deck or steakhouse one night everyone will be assigned to that dining room and to specific tables the entire cruise. Most likely your guests will be eating with you each night.

Personally, I think once the receptions over, the cruise has started and you are free and clear of alcohol responsibilities. Unless you want to buy a bunch of bottles of wine for everyone, which is up to you but would get pricey adding in their corkage fees. The only way that may be different is if you invited them all to the steakhouse that night and paid for their meals, but that doesn't sound like what you did.

Yea you've understood - they would likely eat with us each night (but they don't have to). I'm glad you feel that way. That's how I felt but I wasn't sure if I was way off. I am considering wine for the table but it could get really costly so that was my concern and I feel like offering one bottle per table to create a limit would be confusing once the bottle is finished

I think you're better off skipping it honestly. I bet some of your guests spring for the Cheers program anyway, which means their drinks would be included anyway. You had an open bar at the reception, you did your part.

Well they won't have the drink package - the state of NY doesn't allow it until day 2 :/

Awe man Smiley sad that is CRUMMY! I still think you aren't obligated at that point, but that stinks.... I can put down some Funship Specials before muster drill so that would be a buzzkill.

If I did even offer it, I then worry people would think every night is included - like they wouldn't get we paid for it and they might think it's part of their cruise package

Yes, I actually agree that it may be setting a precedent. It's one thing if you had 5-10 people to show up with a bottle or two of wine to share with the table, but 75 people..... just no. LOL Plus as a guest, I chose to cruise and would expect to be picking up my own sign and sail bill expenses. If they want a drink they will buy it.

Thanks! This was really helpful to take through with someone who understands the cruise details!
