Carnival Cruise Payments?

Courtney, on August 2, 2019 at 12:00 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 5
Here I am again asking a honeymoon question 😂. FH and I are paying for the wedding on our own as well as the honeymoon. I was researching honeymoons that would allow you to make payments and I came across Carnival Cruise Easy Pay. It says you make a deposit and then your card is charged for the next 3 months in monthly payments until balance is paid in full. I was wondering if anyone else is doing this or have any experience with this? Did you go through Carnival or a travel agent? We are still in the early planning stages and trying to weigh all of our options. Thank you.

I assume there is an interest fee they charge? I'd look into that to make sure it isn't a better financial decision to put it on a credit card & pay the card off in the same increments.

We are doing this exact thing. FH booked it through a personal Carnival sales rep who he has dealt with before and makes sure he gets the best rates and deals. I assume she is affiliated with Carnival and not a separate travel agent. She did give us that option and that’s what we chose because it was easy and we didn’t have to worry about it. I like it because you aren’t worrying about missing the deadline for the final payments. I also don’t believe there were any fees associated with doing that.

Your comment made me think of a girl I went to high school with that is a Carnival rep. I am going to talk with her and go from there!

We did a Royal Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon and we paid half up front, and half 3 months before. I think that was the only payment option other than paying in full. We are going to Mexico in the fall, and don't owe anything until we get there.

Carnival is very good about paying in installments. I've vacationed on 3 different Carnival Cruises and had no issues with payment plans. I will say, the earlier in advance you book your cruise, the longer Carnival gives you to pay it off. For me, the initial down payment was 25% of the total cost. Then from there, Carnival allows you to pay however much you want to at a time so long as it has been paid in full 70 days before the departure date. There was no interest fees or anything tacked on for using their installment option either. It's pretty easy and straightforward.
