The venue owner seems to dispute every bad review. I have documents to prove we did hold our wedding at her venue on 9/12/20.
She was extremely rude, rushed me and my guests out at 9pm on the dot and wanted all my decor out by 9:45pm sane night or she and I quote “would need to charge us for the extra time.The food was absolutely terrible and nothing we agreed on, came out cold and the dinner rolls were rock hard.The night before when my family and I were decorating, she also rushed us out and said she would finish decorating..only to realize they didn’t put up my backdrop that I had custom made and 2 whole boxes of glass cylinders and candles they hid under one of the tables and didn’t put out.My favors were just tossed on the tables and you can definitely tell. Cathy walked around all night like a hawk yet never gave direction on what we need to be doing. She walked in on and interrupted my husband and I’s photos that we decided to take rather than eat bc the food just that terrible that we took one bite and walked away from it so we can start the cake cutting.When we walked in to get ready for the cake cutting and were waiting for the photographer to setup, she queued the dj who she stuck in a corner and couldn’t even see us to start the cake cutting song and it finished before we even actually cut the cake. Even our first dance, she queued the dj to start and we weren’t even ready. I had to stop and pick up my own dress bc my maid of honor didn’t have time to pull up my train.She rushed everything and she ruined our wedding day. The reviews on the wedding sites are all the “good ones” and she disputes anything else so they don’t get posted. Her Facebook page doesn’t even allow a review. Only good thing about this venue is the venue itself. The garden area and reception area are beautiful, Cathy and her staff and the food on the other hand are terrible.Last thing to add..she refused to give the dj and I the WiFi password and kept insisting there was no WiFi even though it came up on the WiFi name list. And the venue was in an area that had zero signal. So for all the family and friends who couldn’t make it to the wedding due to covid restrictions..they couldn’t be there via live like we had wanted. We are beyond upset with the whole experience and I am currently speaking with a lawyer.
Avoid this venue and if you do want the wedding here..I would recommend a coordinator to deal with Cathy so she’s not running to you all night and hire an outside food vendor.
