Caricature or Photo Booth

Keyona, on August 5, 2019 at 1:28 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 14

Hey Ladies,

Seriously need help because my FH is only looking at the price of things. I am not sure if I should hire a caricature or get a photo booth for the reception. I thought a caricature would be super different and he is only $270 but he at max will probably do about 30 people in the 3 hour booking time frame. (I'm ok with that btw - snooze you lose people) but the photo both its $480 and unlimited photos and a interactive mirror with props.

I cant do both cause i don't want to make my wedding a county fair. So what are your thoughts?

The photo booth would be my personal preference!

I’ve been to a wedding with a caricature artist and the line was always so long for it that it kept people off the dance floor.

I prefer photo booths. We had a photo booth, we have about 70 photos from it of all our guests and they are super cute!

Another think i was thinking about that we could create a guestbook using the prints since they are unlimited.

100% photo booth. I guess I don’t have a “you snooze you lose” mind set about my wedding. I want every guest to have fun and mingle while also getting to enjoy the entertainment that we’re paying for, not feel like it’s Black Friday and they need to hurry to get what they want or they’re SOL.

True! I liked having the ability to send them all to me digitally, I was able to post them on Facebook too.

Lol true - i want everyone to have a good time but don't wanna hair a fair like theme by hiring both cause i think its impossible to avoid a line either way - the photo booth is just a lot faster.

Photobooth. The caricature is such a cool idea though but I second that it would take an especially long time

I think the caricature idea is so cute. But not practical.

Yea as I am thinking and listening to everyone it doesn't seem ideal - its like 5 - 6 mins per person sounds like so think booth may be the decision to go with.

That's what I would think as well! I would definitely vote photo booth. We had one at our wedding and there was always a super small gathering around it, but it was quick & easy and didn't keep people off the dance floor. It was more of a "break" than a "thing," if that makes sense lol

I think the caricature is only good if there are less than 50 people at the wedding. If not, I for sure would go with a photo booth.
