Canva vs Vistaprint std quality?

Rachel, on January 8, 2019 at 2:09 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 12

I know a lot of people here like Vistaprint; I have never used them. I've only used Blockbuster Print for work, but I do a lot of designing on Canva, from which I could also order. Does anyone here have experience with both and have a preference? (ETA: I'm not ordering from Blockbuster just because their smallest order is double what I need!)

It comes down to only a dollar different in price for the cards and envelopes in each place, so my main concern is the quality of the card. Also, does anyone happen to know what Vistaprint charges for shipping? Canva would ship this order for free.

Thanks so much, everyone! Smiley smile

Hi Rachel! I actually just ordered our Save The Dates from Canva and we got them on Saturday. I was actually very impressed with the quality! I did do the slight upcharge for premium paper and they turned out great and shipped pretty quickly, considering it was free. I ordered on Wednesday and received on Saturday. I’ve used Vistaprint for other things before and have also never had a problem but I would definitely recommend Canva based on this experience. I’m sure they will turn out great, no matter which you decide!

I designed my Save the Dates on Canva and then sent them to our local FedEx office to be printed. I told them the quality of paper and everything I wanted and they were amazing to work with and so much cheaper then anything I found for ordering them already printed.

Vistaprint's cardstock is pretty thin from my experience. That doesn't matter to some people, but it was important to us.If the price is similar, I would probably go with Canva!

I thought my invites were nice quality from Vistaprint, but I also really don't know or care much about this them; invites were suuuuper low on my list of priorities so I just went with a cheap option. I will say that Vistaprint does have great customer service! My original set of invites never got delivered by UPS, so they sent me a new set with literally no questions asked. It took less than five minutes on the phone.

I got my magnet save the dates from Vista print and they turned out really nice. I think the quality was nice and I have received nothing but positive feedback from my guests so far. They came super quick and envelopes where included in the price. I would definitely recommend them.

Can you try and order a sample of them both to compare the quality for yourself? I think it’s worth the charge to make sure you get exactly what you want. Good luck!

I just saw another post in this forum talking about the website Zazzle? Good reviews and sales quite often. I am going to check them out.

Thank you to everyone!! I ordered our STDs today and am so excited! I ended up going with Vistaprint because nobody had terrible things to say about them, and they were by far the cheapest option with their semi-annual sale going on at the moment (thru tomorrow)! Can't wait to get and send them!

I just received my STDs from VP today. I didn’t upgrade paper and wish I had a little bit because it’s thin. For invites I will update to nicer paper. I hope to get the details hammered out in time to take advantage of the sale but I doubt I will 😭But ive always has excellent customer service from VP and they had a perfect design for us! I’ve never heard of Canva.
