Can’t sleep.

Can’t sleep. 1
Anyone have a hard time sleeping without their partner? My FH goes to work at 3 am on my day off and I can’t fall back asleep, I start listening to every single little noise in the house and get nervous. What does anyone do to calm their mind and fall back asleep?

I don’t have that problem lol but we do have cameras all around the house so I guess that helps. You can always leave the tv on low to block out other noises too.

I listen to meditation music or watch a documentary on Netflix. It usually knocks me back out. If I’ve had several bad nights in a row I take a Unisom.

I actually sleep better without my husband aha because he snores and makes sounds while sleeping. But some people exercise before to get themselves tired or some people use white noise (my bro is big on this he likes rain sounds to help him fall asleep)

I can't sleep without my FH if I am home and he is not! I watch videos in bed until I just can't keep my eyes any more and just accept that I will sleep worse. Not the healthiest option, but it doesn't happen that often.

This happened to me the first weekend he went out of town on a work trip and I just wasn't used to my house and being alone in it. The next time he was out of town was definitely better for me!

I'm so used to DH going off to work at 4:30AM that I usually don't even bother going to sleep until after he's left. Since the pandemic, though, we've both been home... and now I don't go to bed until 6AM!

It was a bit of an adjustment to always go to sleep with him in the bed. When he's working, I usually read a book until I'm too tired to keep my eyes open.
