Can't get his family to cooperate

So.. fiance will be away until December 1 and I am kinda stuck trying to deal with his family. I am late with my planning and I need a head count asap but they are being difficult when it comes to giving information. His mom makes it worse because she doesn't care for me much. I personally wanted to elope because I knew it would be a lot of mess but he wanted a wedding. We have been dealing with each other 13 years and we have 4 children. I.am at the point now where I want to give up on dealing with his side of the family and let him do it when he comes home. I will do everythjng I can do around that for right now.. what would you guys do.. my temper is starting to rise.

If they are being unreasonable id let him jnow and tell him he needs to figure out head count for his side. Or you can just say if they wont give you head count they wont be counted.

He can decide who he wants to invite from his side without his family's involvement.

I really would prefer to just elope.. I'm so over it and I don't want to just not get married.. I don't see him controlling them either especially when his mom is acting the same way

Be honest with him that you really don’t want a big wedding and find a happy medium and tell him you’re not dealing with his mom. That’s on him not you!

I've called the wedding off.. we're still hanging on to the relationship by a string bc he still doesn't seem like he's prepared to be there wholeheartedly for his family
