So FH and I have been touring venues like crazy. Our budget is 25K and that doesn’t include the cost for photographer, Dj, dress and whatever else we need to spend. I’m starting to feel here in MA, 25k is unrealistic for 175 people. Oh and I’m so over these venues with these high minimum spend costs. What the heck! Anyone else living in MA struggling ?

Hey! Have you thought about the Adams Inn (Best Western)? Great price and it's right on the river if you wanted outside. They have a inside and outside. Good luck!

Sorry you are having issues. We had the similar issue but opposite. We do not have enough people to get a venue. And our out of pocket is 4k.
You will find something. Negotiations work.

What?! I am in Portsmouth, NH which is not a cheap town and our food for 40 people under $2000 and that includes 2 servers and a bartender + gratuity!

Check out Lakeside Villa in Halifax. They offer packages too. My friend's reception was there and it was awesome. My uncle was married and had reception there a couple years ago when it was called the Monponsett Inn. Both weddings were amazing.
