Cannabis

Joanna, on November 14, 2021 at 4:08 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 1 15

At least half of the guests who will attend my wedding love cannabis, including my father (who never wants to not be high). I am in favor of this because all these folks are a lot of fun when they're high. (The wedding and reception will be adults-only regardless.) Are there any stoner (or stoner-affiliated) brides who have ideas for facilitating cannabis consumption for interested guests?

I considered it - totally depends where you live and the specific venue. I have friends who had personal “budtenders” at their wedding who were rolling personal joints, etc. That wedding was in Colorado at a casual outdoor venue. I got married in a state where it is recreationally legal, but no venues were okay with it. I think most people partake either way, even if it’s stepping off to the side. But the CO wedding was soooo fun! They did a very classy job about it.

Maybe you can include “special brownies” or some kind of cannabis infused pastry.

Most venues probably won’t allow smoking because of the odor, but they may allow pastries.

My photographer actually shot a cannabis-friendly wedding on 4-20, and the pictures were great! (the pictures I attached are the bride and her grandma)
At that wedding, they had an optional cannabis-infused dinner menu and “special” cheesecakes. They also had a weed bar set up outside with hand-rolled joints and blunts. He said it was one of the most fun weddings he’s ever shot!

Https://www.cannabisweddingexpo.com/ Lists vendors and venues that are open to serving it. They do suggest that you don’t serve alcohol so they don’t mix.

HAHA the pic of the grandma spoking a blunt is the best thing I have seen ever. Yes first step would be to check with your venue on rules. Also, might consider if anyone at your party would be offended (if that matters to you lol, not sure what state you live in). We plan on having a smoking station outdoors with cigars, cigarettes', and a few joints.

I had cannabis at my wedding. It was for me and my friends from College. We smoked it after the eldest generation went home because I don't think they have the same opinion as us about weed

I had cannabis at my wedding. It was for my friends and me from College. We smoked it after the eldest generation went home because I don't think they have the same opinion as us about weed. We bought it from Oklahoma medical cannabis dispensaries . It is well-known that the eldest generation considers any narcotic something extremely bad for our health and mental state, even though the majority of them have problems with alcohol which can cause even more damage to the human organism than cannabis and products made from it.

I wish I had cannabis at my wedding, but my relatives, especially my father, are too conservative and won't accept consuming it to anyone in his surroundings. They think that the Cannabis flower is a drug that can create dependence. Well, they are partially right, but consuming cannabis in small quantities has a lot of positive effects on our bodies and the neuronic system. Consuming it in large quantities can cause some negative effects. But it is something that can be related to any product. For example, coffee is always bad in large quantities, but a daily cup helps deal with stress.

Facilitating cannabis consumption can be done in various creative ways. You could consider setting up a designated cannabis lounge or corner where guests can partake if they wish. Providing a variety of cannabis-infused treats, such as edibles or beverages, can add a unique touch to the celebration.
Remember to prioritize safety and legality when incorporating cannabis into your event. It's a great idea to educate your guests on responsible consumption and to ensure that those who choose to partake do so responsibly. Ultimately, your wedding is a reflection of your personalities and preferences.
