Candle Holders

Alexis, on September 6, 2018 at 8:22 PM Posted in Style and Décor 1 19

Hello,

I feel so naive in this wedding planning process. My FH and I were looking at different centerpiece ideas that didn't involve flowers- as to save money. We were looking into candle centerpieces. However, our reception venue requires candles to be in glass rather than open flame.

We were looking for something like these pictures:
zxvU2u44Dhx7QE6i_quEmL7H0q6Tu3IeCB4e4Bf_Z8T59RP6AUugJghgEXfDHDjfrEIJe6FXlp2XOhX3

Any suggestions on where to buy lots of pillar pedestals and hurricane vase that isn't going to be so expensive or where would we be able to rent these things? Would florists be able to rent these to us? Would going with a florist be cheaper in the long run? Ugh so many questions.

Our wedding will be in Wilmington, Delaware.

You've definitely come to the right place.

Here is where you can find hundreds and maybe even thousands of people who can relate to you!

I would suggest trying Etsy or Amazon.

If you search on Pinterest and click the photo, it may even show you where you can buy it.

You can also search on here ( & Yelp ! ) for florists so that you can get an idea of how much they would cost you.

I feel like if you found a rental place it would be less expensive to buy all of these ornate candle holder pieces. That's what I ended up doing. It was $5 per centerpiece and they deliver, set up, and take down for us.

Everyone will probably say the dollar store, michaels, wal mart, or something along those lines. It depends on what your budget is.

My florist included things like that in her quote but some things she rented to me while others I purchased from her. For example, she rented lanterns to me but I bought candles and candle holders from her that she bought from Ikea and Dollar Tree. You can also check local event rental companies for decor such as candle holders. My candles came from Ikea and the glass holders came from Dollar Tree.

    Hello!

we are also doing candle centerpieces as well as tall flower centerpieces. I just ordered my candles holder a week ago from vasemarket.com I got 18 niches and 20 inch glass cylinders. They have pretty good prices. Also amazon is good site to look as well. I like vase market bc you can buy in sets.

Go to the dollar store! Allot of the time they sell plain clear vases that would work really well!! I know IKEA also sells plain vases as well!

Dollar Tree if you have one. You can even glue candle holders to the bottom with e6000 to give them some height. I bought latex stems from amazon and added water and floating candles from hobby lobby. They were a hit.

Unrelated to the candle holders, but I was struggling to find non-floral centerpieces too because of the ridiculous expense of flowers and also having to worry about the flowers wilting, etc. but I've learned from brides on here that Hobby Lobby has very inexpensive, very real-looking silk flowers. I used to be totally against the idea of fake flowers but once I realized how much cheaper they are and how nice they look (guests won't even think twice about it I guarantee) I decided that it's a great way to get a floral-look without spending so much time and money on actual flowers. Just a thought!

You could also make the candleholders from dollar store items. Check out this link. https://www.pinterest.com/pin/814307176345954833/?lp=true

I usually buy my bulk candles from Amazon or Ikea.
