Candle Centerpieces instead of Flowers!

Ella Marie, on February 5, 2018 at 1:53 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 12
So for our reception I wanted to do different candles as centerpieces instead of flowers. Our wedding will be smaller 40 guests, it’ll be a beach wedding and the ceremony will be at 6. The Reception will be 7-10. I wanted a more laid back, romantic feel and I think something like this would be perfect. Has anyone else done this instead of flowers?

I actually will be making all the bouquets from flower arrangement from JoAnns and Pat Catans. As well as the flowers for the arch!

I love your inspiration pic! I didn’t do as many candles, but I did all candles instead of flowers. The first picture you can kind of see the vibe in the room, the second is a non pro close up. If you want to do all the candles yourself, check out quickcandles.com. They usually have a coupon code on Facebook, and their customer service is amazing.

Double check with your venue to see if open flame candles are permitted! I think the idea is very lovely and would look great. An intimate wedding, candle lit dinner... your guests will be leaving feeling the love and warm inside!

I love the candle idea. As flowers aren’t a huge deal to me, I’m also considering this as a less expensive option. It’s romantic and gives just enough decoration to the room.

It'd s great idea. I would check quick candles online. You can purchase the different size candles in bulk along with the glasses.

We aren't planning to do lanterns with votives and petals on every other table. Every other table without lanterns will have clear candles with votives and petals! I think it's a lovely cost saver that looks elegant and simple !

My venue provided candles similar to this for the ceremony aisle, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. I had a non floral centerpiece and candles.

I think it looks lovely. If the reception is outdoors, however, wind can be a factor, even if candles are in hurricanes.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this idea. I'm also doing a beach wedding (reception in a tent) and trying to incorporate additional light as it gets dark after sunset. I was told to stay away from glass on the beach. Not cool to have glass break in an area that people are barefoot. Also, the wind may blow out your candles. I'd recommend researching what your venue allows so you can flex.
