Cancelling dj for a band

So we went out of town this weekend and ended up seeing a really fun band while we were out one night. They were so good that I felt compelled to ask them to play at our wedding—so excited! I know they’ll be more expensive than a DJ but FH was dancing & having a good time and he rarely does that when it’s just a DJ playing. So I think it’s worth the $$ and we haven’t really splurged in one area of planning thus far.


I also talked to my parents about it & they seemed willing to help chip in some of the cost. Initially I felt bad asking since myself & FH are paying for everything and were trying to not ask either of our parents for help, but they’ve helped out at our older siblings wedding so I don’t feel that bad. I’m just excited to see the band again & have everyone on the dance floor at our wedding!
