Can my dress be altered??

Brandi, on March 27, 2020 at 12:27 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 8
Hello everyone!! So I was obsessed with my dress from the moment I saw it online, I tried to find a shop that I could try it on at and no one in the state carried a sample! So after months and months of obsessing over pictures and saving I bit the bullet and bought it online. It just came in today and it’s so gorgeous! It definitely needs to be taken in a little bit and I’m hoping that’s what’s throwing me off about it, but what I’m worried about is I feel like the waistline hits just slightly too high on my body. I tried googling about lowering the waistline but couldn’t find much info! Is that even possible to do?! Could they maybe lengthen the straps a little to drop the waist a little lower?? Help 😭
I’ve never bought something so expensive before and I would hate to have to return it and start over.

I Dont See Why A Seamstress Couldn't Lengthen The Straps And Drop The
Waist Down. You Could Definitely Call Around Or Take It In And Get An

I kind of see what you're saying! Go find a good seamstress- they can work wonders. It took mine about ten minutes to fix the back zipper on my dress so it wouldn't even have to be let out, so a lot is possible.

Ok first of all, that dress is amazing on you!! As for the straps, I am assuming they just go straight down in the back? If so, there should be no problem lengthening the straps. However, I don’t feel it hits you in an odd place at the waist at all/ I think it looks perfect!

Girl I think it looks great on you!! But, I'm sure a seamstress could work their magic. Find someone local to you and give them a call. I had a friend who got her dress altered to be 2 sizes larger. i feel like if they can do that, they can do anything.
