Can my bridal party stand in pairs at the altar?

HELP!!!
I have 6 bridesmaids and 6 groomsmen for my wedding so there is a total of 6 couples. Usually the bridesmaids stand on the brides side and the groomsmen stand by the groom at the altar. 3 of them are the grooms siblings and their spouses and the other 3 are my family members. Would it be totally weird if i have 3 couples stand on my side and the other 3 on his side???

    Not weird at all! If that's what you want to do then go for it, you don't have to follow the tradition of bridesmaids and groomsmen standing on you and your fiancé's sides.

    I don’t think it would be weird, but I also don’t think they have to stand together just because they’re in a relationship.

    I don't think it would be weird, but I also agree with Caytlyn that they don't need to stand together just because they are in a relationship.

    I think you can set them however you want! Whatever you have in mind will be more than okay! My wedding party isn't even standing with us, they're sitting front row. I went to a wedding over the summer that had their wedding party line up behind them rather than with them at the alter.

    The bliss of wedding planning is you can make it whatever you want it to be!
