Can a bridesmaid do a ceremony reading?

KrystalH, on August 22, 2012 at 5:12 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5

We don't really have any people that would be comfortable enough to stand in front of everyone and do a reading, except my sister who is also a BM, is this ok?

I think so! I believe I've seen it done before too. They just step out of the line, read, then go back.

They're not really doing anything up there anyway!

I see no reason as to why not...as long as she's not the one responsible for holding your bouquet while you're up there, because then it could become a juggling act lol
