Campsite for a Bridal Shower

Amy, on January 3, 2021 at 2:50 PM Posted in California Planning 0 6

So I've recently fallen in love with the idea of having a camping themed bridal shower at an actual campsite but I've had difficulty finding a campsite that meets all of my criteria.

Basically it would have to be within about an hour of my home (Riverside, CA), allow groups of up to 50 and have nice, flushable toilets. It doesn't have to be an overnight campsite, but it does need to have an onsite grill and multiple picnic tables. IT would also be nice if it were in a place with thicker tall trees. just the aesthetic and it's not necessary. It also won't be for while so I'm not concerned about COVID being an issue (as far as campsites that are currently closed).

So I was just wondering if anyone was aware of any campsites that meet all these requirements.

Often times, campgrounds or state parks will have a day use area that includes a shelter with picnic tables! Instead of renting a campsite, you may be able to rent a day use area at a local park.

Let your bridesmaids know what you are wanting and they can plan this. But it sounds like fun. In the outdoors you shouldn't have the same restrictions as in closed populated spaces.

Its a little out of the way but have you thought about a weekend trip to a cabin in big bear? its a 2hr drive which I know is further than you wanted but its absolutely beautiful up there and if you did a weekend instead of a night I think it could justify the extra hour up and back.

Your BP should be the ones planning your shower, not you.

Since you have time, feel free to check out things, but only as suggestions for your future BP.

PS to anyone else that may see this I know traditionally the bridal party plans the shower but that's not what I'm doing. I'd rather plan it myself and I'm technically not even having bridesmaids. I just want to know if anyone has suggestions off the top of their head.

I don't need anyone telling me how I should be planning my own wedding.

I'm sorry honestly I'm a little salty just cause I'm getting answers that are completely useless to me.

I know how frustrating it is sometimes posting on here is the opposite of helpful because so many people are WAY to concerned with tradition. You do you. I wish I could be more helpful but even though I lived in sandiego for a few years all I can think of is bigbear :/
